Chemical Oxidation and Anodic Oxidation on Aluminium Profiles

360截图20170605102558395.jpgThe oxidation treatment of aluminium profiles is divided into two categories: chemical oxidation and electrochemical oxidation (commonly known as anodic oxidation).

The membrane layer obtained by chemical oxidation treatment is thinner and the general thickness is 0. 5 μm -4 μ m. The quality of its wear-resistant, corrosion resistance is lower than the anodic oxidation film. And generally chemical oxidation is not suitable for being used alone. Its film adsorption ability is good, so its used mainly as the base of painting.

Anodic oxidation, on the other hand, film thickness is about 5-20 micron (hard anodic oxide film thickness can reach 60-200 micron), with good hardness, good heat and insulation properity. And its corrosion resistance is higher than chemical oxide film. It also has very good adsorption capacity due to porous structure.

Chemical oxidation treatment requires simple equipment, convenient operation, high production efficiency and low cost. Its wide range of application covers large parts and assembled components (such as spot welding of aluminium profiles ,aluminium riveting parts, aluminium slender pipes, etc.). After chemical oxidation, coating can effectively improve the corrosion resistance of these parts.

The comprehensive properties of  anodic oxidation film on the aluminium profiles are better than that of chemical oxidation film, and the main applications are:

(1) Protection. Improve the wear-resisting, corrosion-resistant and weather-resistant of parts.

(2) Decoration. Made of natural light film, as a color film.

(3) Insulating. As a capacitor dielectric film, aluminum wire coil insulation film, each micron thickness can withstand 25V voltage.

(4) Improve the adhesion with organic coating as the bottom layer.

(5) Improve the adhesion with the inorganic coating as the bottom of electroplating and enamel.

(6) In the development of other functional uses, the deposition of magnetic alloy in porous membrane as memory elements, solar absorption board, ultra-high hard film, dry lubrication film, catalyst film and so on.

Therefore, the oxidation treatment of aluminum alloy products has been widely used in the construction industry, aviation and aerospace industry, electrical and electronic industry, food industry, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, transportation industry and so on.
